This is a version of the Warlukurlongu fire dreaming story west of Yuendumu.
When the blue tongue lizard man sent the flames after his errant sons with his flicking tongue, they fled south into the Pitjanjatjara lands before turning for home, where the flames finally devoured them.
Rex has shown the enormous extent of this fire. The two sons, represented by the U shapes, are shown fleeing to the south on the right, before trying to get home on the left.
